Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a great festive holiday and New Year.
Statement jewellery is on my fashion love list and is a huge trend for Spring Summer this year, if like me, you love jewellery too you might be interested in checking out the Unexpected Pleasures Exhibition being held at the Design Museum (
click here for further details and address). The exhibition is being held until 3rd March and is about the art and design of contemporary jewellery, it showcases work form jewellery designer Wendy Ramshaw who is known for using geometric jewels, precious stones in metal, glass and ceramic and Dorothea Pruhl who is known for her sculptural pieces using wood, gold, silver, aluminium, titanium and stainless steel.
Here are some pictures of their amazing jewellery:

Statement jewellery was sent down the runway by many designers for Sping Summer 13, think oversized jewels, spike details, chunky chains and neon colours.
My most favourite pieces were from Mawi’s collection, because I think the jewellery looks feminine with a contemporary edge. The collection consists of encrusted clutches, bright colours, crystal and gem set earrings and rings.
Here are some pictures of statement pieces from Mawis’s Spring Summer 13 Collection:

Gorgeous hey!, I have found some pieces that you can wear to dress up any outfit that are on trend and purse proof.
The first piece is a statement necklace which is from Carole Tanebaum, her collection is amazing Ashley Roberts wore one of her necklaces on the most recent Dancing on Ice here is a quick peek if you haven't already seen it...
The next piece is a statement necklace from Stella and Dot which I think will look great over a day dress or it can dress up jeans and a t-shirt and add some colour.
This ring is gorgeous and will look great with an all white outfit
Will you be wearing statement pieces this Spring?
